Our student companies in Prien and Rosenheim were once again hard at work in the first half of the year.

Business instead of chilling

The young people sacrifice their free time for this, as the student company meetings naturally take place outside of regular classes. That’s when it’s time to develop ideas, plan events, and put them into action together.

An important aspect is also the updates provided by the institute director on current developments and ongoing projects in Kenya. This way, the young people can see what they can achieve through their commitment.

Market stand with cake and jewelry in Prien

Right on cue for the start of spring, our Prien student company Nyendo – Food for Food kicked things off. On March 20, 2026, the first sales stand of the year opened. To get everyone in the Easter spirit, visitors were treated to coffee and cake. They could also discover – and of course buy – beautiful Kenyan jewelry.

The members of the student companies meet regularly for further planning sessions. The next projects are already on the agenda: a sales stand at the spring festival and a large school-wide charity run.

Popular Easter cookies in Rosenheim

In Rosenheim, too, things got started around Easter. The student company Upendo Tamu held an Easter cookie sale from March 25 to 27, 2026 – just before the Easter holidays – during breaks and after school.

They had put a lot of effort not only into the baking, but especially into the decoration of the cookies. And the effort paid off! Demand was so high that supplies quickly ran out and more had to be made. A great success for the team, which of course also motivates them to keep going!

We thank all the students for their outstanding dedication, as well as all the supporters who make our shared work possible through their contributions.
