A Protective Wall for a School

At our partner school, the St. Christopher Fisher Academy in Mlolongo/Senteu, just outside Nairobi, our headmistress Veronica Nduku has been working for many years to enable as many children as possible to learn.

A school worried about safety

Today, she is able to teach 146 children and has provided an environment with classrooms, a schoolyard, a playground, and even a school garden.

This little oasis is now in danger. The sheet-metal fence can no longer withstand the wind and weather. The school garden is being damaged, and animals are getting onto the grounds. There are also repeated incidents of looting.

The problem could be solved relatively easily – with a sturdy wall!

The new wall will protect the school and at the same time form one wall of the future permanent classrooms.

A cost estimate is already available, and about one third of the money needed is already on hand.

Exactly €6,443.00 is still missing.

With this help, the existing school can be protected while also laying the first building block for the next classrooms.

Would you like to support Veronica and her school? Even small amounts can help!
