On October 24, 2023, an online exchange of all Nyendo members from Kenya and Germany took place once again via the platform Discord.

The Prien food for food student company presented its activities and the Upendu Tamu student company from Rosenheim showed its traditional clothing.

In Kenya, all participants met at the Kangemi Youth Center (KYC). Diana and Maggie organized our meeting for the participants from Kenya. Our guest of honor this time was Rufus Mwangi, Chief of the community. Chief Mwangi is an important partner for nyendo, as through his mediation a piece of land will be made available to the community for the next big nyendo project – a guest house in the middle of Kangemi.

The Kenyan schools showed their projects that were financed by nyendo (presentation by Evemon school). Nyendo finances drainage measures for the heavy rains that are expected. The dancing children from our partner schools are always a great joy for us.

Martin from NairoBits reported on the successful cooperation with nyendo; there is a training center in KYC where teachers have been trained by NairoBits. It is very pleasing that 40% of them are women.

Finally, Uwe and the students from KYC presented the new favicon for nyendo, which resulted from the rebranding.

We are very proud of our good community.
