On October 12, 2024, we, the student company Upendo Tamu, mastered our first big event of the year – the coffee and jewelry sale at the flea market.
We served espresso, cappuccino and black coffee to the guests at the flea market. We also sold Kenyan jewelry, figurines and accessories. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed and business went well. The money goes to our partner schools in Nairobi, Kenya.
At the Advent bazaar on November 24, we even had our own Upendo Tamu room. Once again, we sold coffee, waffles and jewelry from Kenya. The coffee in particular was very popular among our visitors.
A huge thank you to the Merchant family for donating the coffee, the coffee machine and the tableware and also for their indispensable support during the sale. It wouldn’t work without you! THANK YOU!
