The school grounds were inadequately secured with simple corrugated iron sheets. Two alternatives were up for discussion. A real wall made of twist blocks (approx. €2,300) or elements made of sturdy metal (approx. €520). Together with the student companies, we decided to build a metal fence as the cost of a wall seemed disproportionate, especially considering the salaries of the teachers and the cost of living in the community. The school is now at least protected from attacks.
